What to Expect
Set off on a speedboat for an exhilarating snorkeling safari after a responsible snorkeling briefing. Explore three of the best snorkeling sites near Malé, carefully selected based on weather and ocean conditions. Possible locations include Coral Garden, Kurumba House Reef, and Stingray City, where you may encounter sea turtles, reef sharks, rays, and a vibrant variety of marine life. Every trip is unique—there’s always something new to discover beneath the surface.

Following a safety briefing on responsible snorkeling, put on your provided fins, mask, and snorkel and jump into the warm, azure waters of the Indian Ocean. Keep your eyes open for sea turtles, reef sharks, and rays to which the Maldives is home; youngsters will want to be on the lookout for Nemo (aka clownfish).

Your snorkel guide will provide a safety briefing and highlight how to protect the reefs by being a responsible snorkeler, they will also act as your ‘spotter’ pointing out marine life that may not have caught your eye. They will assist less confident or inexperienced snorkelers, ensuring your equipment is comfortable and you feel safe in the water.

Sites vary depending on weather and current conditions but may include Coral Garden, Kurumba House Reef, Stingray City, and Kandu Giri. Our guides will do their best to spot the marine life you have at the top of your list to encounter but you can be guaranteed an abundance of colorful tropical fish and coral life.

Don’t swim? Don’t worry we provide buoyancy aids for all non-swimmers and our guides will provide instruction and coaching on how to float, snorkel and utilize the equipment. Our guide will assess your confidence and ability in the water to ensure it is safe to proceed to a coral reef area for your first snorkel encounter.

This is a scheduled tours of no more than 8 persons ensuring your safety and comfort, as well as a memorable experience.

One of our local tour leaders accompanies you throughout the tour allowing access to experiences most guests visiting the Maldives will not encounter. You can travel safely in the knowledge that you are in capable hands, all our team are certified in the care and safety of guests holding First Emergency Response, PADI Snorkeling Guide and Lifeguard certification.

We provide snorkeling equipment on all our tours; however, you’re welcome to bring your own mask and snorkel if you prefer. Using your own gear ensures a better fit, greater comfort, and reduces the risk of leakage, while also minimizing health concerns. Having equipment you trust can greatly enhance your overall comfort and peace of mind during the experience.
